Our Summer appeal
We’re seeking your support for our ongoing work with older adults in our community. The current economic environment presents significant challenges for vulnerable seniors, and we are committed to providing essential support services.
We continue to address a variety of needs for older adults, including:
· Support for anyone dealing with elder abuse or self-neglect
· Community engagement initiatives to reduce social isolation
· Help with services to support people to stay at home for longer.
Many of our wonderful services are already under-funded, and with the current economic climate and reduction in funding from some quarters, we want to ensure we can continue to meet the growing needs of an ageing population. Any contribution you’re able to make, no matter what the size, will directly go towards supporting practical and impactful initiatives.
Specific ways your donation can help:
· $25 provides a weekly phone check-in for an isolated older person, providing crucial social connection and welfare monitoring
· $50 funds a care package including essential items like non-perishable foods, personal hygiene products, and other essentials
· $100 can help us recruit a Carer Respite volunteer, who can offer time out and critical support to caregivers
